REGION II
REGION II WRAPS UP DOGWOOD CLASSIC
With more entries, the Region II Dogwood Classic is once again deemed one of the season's most successful shows. Complete with it's annual Costume Class and newest Doggie Design Show, the Dogwood provided more than just horse showing it was a host of fun for the entire family. Here are a few highlights!
YOUTH The youth classes were up in numbers in all divisions – YEAH! The youth fundraisers were a lot of fun. The participants and the audience had a great time. Rose Mason kept everyone in stitches at the microphone. NEW EQUIPMENT The new TQHA fences were well received and many who were in the classes said they’d be back! We appreciate everyone who made the jumps become a reality. The new equipment really adds value to the shows. VENDORS We were pleased to host a shaved ice stand. It was a great treat to beat the heat! For the first time ever The Dogwood Classic invited local breeders to showcase their pups. Several puppies found new homes as well as two piglets. No Worries – the name will remain The Dogwood Classic…Distributing show bucks for placing first through sixth under each judge kept all the vendors busy. EXTRAS Many exhibitors won random drawing prizes and fun show awards. The team tournament was successful in uniting exhibitors from different divisions. There were two raffles – one for a 4 wheeler and one for a six foot mural in a book. Plus, exhibitors in three divisions who showed in halter to all judges were eligible for a $100 cash prize. Congratulations to all the winners! SPONSORS The show committee would like to extend a special thanks to all of our sponsors. In trying economic times we appreciate your continued financial support.. God Bless you. Thanks to everyone who attended the show. We really enjoyed having you and hope that you will come back and show with us again next year. Sincerely, The 2009 Dogwood Classic Show Committee
