Tennessee Quarter Horse Association Hall of Fame 2023 | Inductee #14
John Ed Tabb
Horseman Devotes 50 Years of Service
No one has served TQHA in as many ways for as many years as John Ed Tabb. He began in the early 1970s, showing and attending TQHA events. He remembers his first TQHA convention held at Henry Horton State Park in 1973.
Since then, John Ed’s horse journey has included showing and training horses at a championship level, working as a professional farrier, serving as a carded judge for five breeds judging nationally and internationally, and working as a horse show ring steward for shows across the nation. Later, John Ed picked up the microphone and became a horse show announcer for multiple breed shows over several decades.
John Ed’s history with TQHA includes serving as Youth Director, serving as President for two years after having been on the Executive Committee three different times, and contributing to numerous committees.
For his diverse contributions to TQHA and the horse industry over an incredible 50 years, John Ed Tabb is honored as the 14th inductee into the Tennessee Quarter Horse Association Hall of Fame.
