The TAQHA, in partnership with the TYQHA, is hosting a Clinic Fundraiser with Sandy Vaughn!
For those of you who don’t know Sandy she has been involved in the Quarter Horse Industry for over 35 years as a competitor, trainer, breeder, coach, and mentor.  She is a leading point earner in the Quarter Horse Association with over 3800 open show points since 1992.  Sandy's accomplishments include many customer and personal wins at the AQHA World Show, the Congress, and other top rated shows and multiple Super Horse Titles.

Her professional career has been focused on developing horses and riders into competitive showing combinations in the hunter/jumper events.  Her trainees have competed, placed, and won in the World Show Finals, Congress Finals, and many large Quarter Horse Circuits.   She is currently a board of director for the Florida Quarter Horse Association and serves as a National AQHA Director for Florida.  She serves on several AQHA committees.  Sandra's dedication to the American Quarter Horse and to the equestrian sport is obvious through her compassion, commitment, and her many successes.   Sandra is an AQHA Over Fences Judge.  Though Sandra specializes in the hunter jumper classes, her students excel as All Around Competitors.  Her instructions will benefit any disciplined riders skills.

The Clinic will occur on Monday, June 16th at The Miller Coliseum at MTSU following the Tri-Star Hunter Classic AQHA show June 13-15th--- so this is a perfect opportunity to lay over one more night and get some extra special training in before you head up to Lexington or on to the Big A.  There will be three two hour clinic sessions focused on Hunters and Equitation on the Flat:

8 AM- 10 AM Session 1: Advanced Hunter
10:30 AM- 12:30 PM Session 2: Intermediate Hunter
1:30 PM - 3:30 PM Session 3: Equitation on the Flat

We are accepting 5 participants per session.  Cost to participate is $150 per session. Auditor cost is $5 per session per individual and can be paid at the door.  Participants are accepted on a first come first serve basis.  Participant registration deadline is May 31, 2014.  Payment must be received at time of registration, sorry no refunds.  Please contact TAQHA President, Becky Ayotte, at ayotte_becky@yahoo.com to register for the clinic or for more information.

As we set our shows for 2014, there is an important change for members to be aware of.  Please click here to read the letter from TQHA President Amy Bailey regarding the Circuit by the River, which will not be a TQHA-approved horse show for 2014.
