As some of our longest-term members, Cathy and Steve Fowler stand out as living our Hall of Fame mission of having “faithfully served and contributed to the success of the association throughout the years.”
Cathy served as Communications Chair, Point Keeper, and Region 3 Representative for about as long as we have had regions. Steve has been Chair of Pro Horsemen and was twice voted TQHA Pro Horseman of the Year.
Together, they have served TQHA in over a dozen capacities, and always when real work was needed. They have built standards and jumps, designed and maintained a digital system for tracking points and have managed it for a dozen years, served as clinicians for our three-a-year Novice clinic series, built a personnel door for the arena at Roane State so we could move ourselves and our horses in and out in bad weather, and designed, purchased, and fitted out the trailer for the TQHA show equipment, among other projects.
Steve and Cathy have always shown a helpful attitude, kind demeanor, and brought their varied practical skills to the service of TQHA and its members. We are grateful to them and proud to acknowledge their contribution to the success of TQHA.
